The name „Hansataucher“, which roughly translates as the „Hanseatic Divers“, is how this
well-known company is known anywhere in the vicinity of the Port of Hamburg.
The official name, however, is Unterwasserservice „Hansa“ GmbH, under which
„Hansataucher“ was founded in November, 1969.
Not only have the Hansataucher been active in all parts of Germany - many projects far from the coast still need divers - but also in
many corners of the world, from Central and South America, to the Gulf States and Madagascar.
